ROBERT, prepares to get a goodbye smooch from one of our 11 passengers before we headed north.

Facing 3 continuous days of aviation weather challenges, he would drive up from North Carolina to meet us in Virginia; from there I would take the pups north to meet their rescues.

Planning rescue transports has it's continual challenges - these dogs were running out of time and logistics were becoming difficult, and they have to move quickly.

Animal rescue transport can be a struggle - but at the end of the day, teamwork makes it happen and we always find a way to get it done 🙌👊🐕

POOR weather conditions have scuttled our flight attempts for the last 3 days - 11 dogs are waiting for transport and they have to move NOW.

This is my latest ground vehicle, that you've not seen yet - mainly because I just rushed to get it ready ahead of schedule - faster than the Pawty Bus and the capacity to hold up to 50+ full size animals, today it will embark on it's first mission - I have taken the day off and am heading south, more details on our pups to come 🐕❤

Pawsibly my favorite photo of Quinn, because it epitomizes everything about him - just a big, goofy, silly dog, loving his life and waiting to make yours happier.

This is the little known secret to life my friends - we are not here to be served, but rather to serve one another.

For me, that is animals, and it is my life's work; and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I am often curious to know what they are thinking during transports - shuffled from vehicles to crates, then back out of the crate and into another one; more noises and vibrations, and then zooming along a few thousand feet into the air.

The one thing I do consistently notice is the same expressions when they eventually meet their rescues and adopters, the same look she has here.

Sometimes a slight confusion, but moreover a expression of a new beginning - one that doesn't involve nights on cold concrete, in dark kennels, waiting for a clock to eventually run out.

From death row to a warm, sunny afternoon - the sun shining bright, a look of cautious optimism on her face, that on this day, it is not the end, but just the beginning ❤
